Suzuki Motor Corporation is set to unveil the All-New Jimny Nomade on April 3, 2025, in Japan. This marks the debut of the Jimny series’ first-ever five-door model, offering the robust features and driving performance of a true four-wheel drive vehicle.
The five-door Suzuki Jimny Nomade shares a similar design with the “global model”. In Japan, the model measures 3,890 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,590 mm. In comparison, the three-door Suzuki Jimny Sierra in the local market has dimensions of 3,550 mm in length and 2,250 mm for the wheelbase. Both versions offer the same ground clearance of 210 mm.
The Suzuki Jimny Nomade offers an impressive Approach Angle of 36° and a Departure Angle of 47°. However, the Ramp Breakover Angle is slightly reduced to 25° (-3°) due to the extended wheelbase.
The Japanese five-door Jimny Nomade closely mirrors the Indian model, sharing the same boxy silhouette and design details. The grille maintains the signature five rectangular slats, with the central one displaying the ‘Suzuki’ logo. It also features the familiar rounded headlights, fog lights, and traditional indicators. The side profile showcases classic door handles, while the rear design includes taillights positioned below the cladding, along with a spare tire mounted on the door.
The Jimny Nomade replaces the all-black upholstery found in the India-spec version with a stylish grey and black fabric option, adding the comfort of heated front seats. It also features an upgraded touchscreen system, swapping out the 9-inch unit found in the Indian model for a different setup.
A key difference in the Japan-spec Jimny Nomade is its inclusion of level-2 advanced driver assistance systems . These features include adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and a collision mitigation system, enhancing both safety and convenience for drivers.
The Jimny Nomade will be equipped with the reliable K15B engine, delivering 109 horsepower and 136Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission.
Additionally, the Jimny Nomade comes standard with a four-wheel-drive system, featuring a low-range transfer case. This setup allows drivers to easily switch between two wheel drive and four wheel drive, ensuring flexibility and enhanced confidence on different terrains.
The Suzuki Jimny Nomade is priced starting at 2,651,000 yen. In comparison, the three-door Suzuki Jimny Sierra in Japan starts at 1,962,400 yen. The official launch of the five-door model is set for April.
